| Ashfields Cup |
The first tournament of the year was held at Ashfields on the 9th & 10th May with record entries this early in the season of 39 sections. It looks like the 2009 season is off to a flying start. Ashfields did themselves proud with best number 2 in A division Best Number 2 in B division, best number 2 in C division taking 1st & 2nds place. |
 The weather gods shined in Essex over the weekend with dry bright sunshine all weekend. The usual player’s party claimed there usual victims and some people even managed to get to bed before daylight. The Tournament ran without incident and I would like to thank all the members of Ashfields Polocrosse Club and family for all there support in making this happen. The Winner of the Ashfields Cup was Mr Hamish Michael for best horse and rider of the Tournament on his fantastic horse Elsa. Neal Smith who played for Ashfields won best new horse with Spooks My Loldy. This is one horse to watch out for in 2009. For full results of the Ashfield Cup Tournament visit the Results Section |
